Game Updates?

After launch, there was 3 updates, one every day for 3 days then nothing. What's going on in terms of updates? Hasn't been one in awhile.

I reckon we will get one next week. Its been the christmas holidays for the past 2 weeks. At the rate they were patching before the hols we could get one as soon as tuesday.

I hope so, hopefully more ships will be added soon as well.

Devs have been stuffing themselves with turkey, port and stilton (amongst other things). I expect none of the have been able to move since boxing day having consumed several kilograms of quality street. Expect chocolate based updates for the next month.

I would like to see an update with 3 new ships, based upon the shape of the Hazelnut Noisette, the Caramel Swirl and the Purple One. (The Orange Chocolate Crunch, of course, being the shape of a Thargon already, should be included automatically).

Considering the amount of crunch Frontier put in right before release and those three subsequent patches each day after release right until christmas vacation they took it right into the wall. They earned a break and some down time to rechagre the their frame shift drive. Honestly, this was a great luanch despite the database issue we saw the day before yesterday. I expect them to continue to fix bugs of course but in comparison with other games like Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 and Sim City or anything EA for that matter, Elite has been great. So glad this got kickstarted.

I'm not debating that ED isn't a great game, but I just found it odd how they were banging out updates and then stopped.

Well, cannot really say Christmas was a surprise - you knew it was coming 364 days before hand, how much more advanced notice would someone need? ;)
