Newcomer / Intro game version (as in the ticket)

I was asked when submitting my first ticket to provide the game version. I left the number which was there already suggested, but the web form complained that it was not valid. I put in 1.1.2 (which was the actual patch I had installed at the moment), it still complained. Then I started launcher and tried to put in version in the launcher. First the last (possibly build) number only then the whole version starting with "v" to no success.

So I run the game and tried to find the version number there, but found only server IP. I feel this must be really stupid question, but where I can find the "game version" which is requested by the ticketing interface?

On the side note, what is happening with those patch version? 1.1 is bigger than 1.07? Does it mean that 1.1 is actually 1.10? But then the current patch should be 1.10.03 (or 1.10.3 actually?). Or 1.07 is actually 1.0.7? Does it mean then that the current version is (actually) 1.1.0.3, or 1.10.3, or even 1.103? I am confused.

Start the game, and look down on the bottom left just before you hit "Play" for Elite Dangerous (not the training). It will say something like v 2015.2.10.xxxxx You want the xxxxx number.

I guess, you mean the launcher. Ok, now I see. I tried this before, but did not log in and took the version from the launcher which is at the moment on my setup V 2014.11.26.51787 0.4.2023.0 and which is wrong. If I log in however the number changes to V 2015.02.12.57474 0.4.20023.0, which may be right. Thanks for the hint!
