Horizons game wont start

hello all I downloaded the horizons this morning and tried to start the 64bit game as I have a 64 bit quad core i7 4th generation system.i have tried the 32 bit horizons and it is very buggy.i have also tried to start it as administrator but no luck.if someone could help I would be grateful.thanks

I also can't get mine to start. I select Horizons (64-bit) and click "play". The button vanishes for a few seconds and then appears again. And yes i'm running win8 in 64bit.

Is your operating system windows whatever 64bit??

I have the same problem. I was able to run the 32 bit client, played that for a while, then I downloaded the 64 bit one and now none of them will start. I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

goto options on your launcher and validate the files.

arent using an overlay are you? make sure you arent using an x86 hook!

Yes this^^ experience is also happening with me; I have the Old 'Lifetime Expansion Pass' and was testing Horizons Beta during the Beta. I had a lot of trouble today getting my Launcher to work, finally got a verification code to work and all seemed good to go....NOT.

Well, as I said.... Further, my system is an i7 3770, 660ti, 16gb windows 7 computer.

Running 64 bit Windows 10 and having the exact same problem. Trying "Validate game files" now ... will let you know in a further 8h how I get on (jesus, haven't these people heard of checksums?)

Kudos to you Commander. Solved the problem on my 64 bit Win 8.1 installation - just before I got to the tearing hair out stage ...
