Game: You can only choose 3 DLCs

Pretty simple: if you could only have 3 packs, which ones would if be and why?
This isnt meant as "what are your 3 favorite packs?" but as "whats the best combination of 3 packs for you?", i hope you get what i mean :D

My combination:
1.Aquatic: With all DLCs available this wouldnt be in the top 3, but if i have to dwindle it down to 3 the animals and faux rocks make it an easy pick here
2.Conservation : Nice building pieces, amazing backstage probs and amazing plants
3. Europe: This has probably some of the most universal building pieces and i cant imagine myself without the decals

  1. North America - Choosing one animal pack would have to be the north America pack, still my all time favourite
  2. Australia - Can't imagine not having kangaroos ingame also the building pieces are heavily used in all my zoos
  3. Conservation - Great selection of animals and building pieces (just not the walls)
Sidelined would be the Europe and aquatic packs solely for the building pieces but the animal choices don't pair well when considering only 3 packs.

1: South America - I just can't be without my beloved bamboo pieces.
2: Wetlands - Has some of my favorite animals in the entire game, and a great pack for biodiversity in general.
3: Aquatic - The stained wood walls are so useful, and who doesn't love faux rocks?

t I am going to go with my 3 favorites. I'm 75% here for the animals after all, so it's the animal rosters that really define my essentials.

Australia - The animal selection is great, as is the building set, IMO. since we had one paltry habitat animal for Australia in the base game, both the Kangaroo and Koala were absolute essential additions. I cannot do without them.

Africa - The Meerkat alone is so essential to me, that everything else doesn't even matter. The fact the animal roster is actually all around great is a bonus. The building set is alright, definitely not my favorite, but again, I'm drawn to the animals more than anything.

North America Animal Pack -Just looking at the animals, this is probably the pack that has the strongest animal roster overall. There's no way I can do without it.

2 of my 3 favorite building sets aren't included here, but again, the animals carry more weight with me than the building pieces.

This is difficult.

1) North America: the best DLC so far. A great selection of animals (very different sizes, biomes, requirements, etc).

2) Europe: very nice building pieces, nice plants for my Mediterranean zoos and a great choice of European animals.

3) Africa: meerkats, African rhino and penguin, plus a cute fennec fox. Nice foliage and enrichment items.

I hesitated a lot between Africa and Australia though.

1. North America - easily the best animal roster of any DLC. The Arctic Fox(which should have been in the Arctic DLC) being the only thing keeping this from being a perfect 10/10.
2. Conservation - Very good animal roster and scenery pieces. Also one of the few build sets I actually use.
3. Grassland - Strong animal roster but suffers a bit from the grassland animals NOT included in the pack(Secretary bird, etc).

1. Aquatic: It was either this or wetlands since the similar species but I can't not have my faux rocks.
2. Grasslands: easily my favorite pack with such great animal choices and it adds to some big unrepresented areas from base game.
3. Tropical: weirdly, without other packs this one feels a lot more unique animal wise. Also it has a nice array of plants.

LoL The truth is not lol just I love those animals. most of my zoos are temperate/taiga I even had few Tundra projects I had one with grassland biome but never desert one or tropical interesting what can I say! I just love those animals I just mean.
Arid Animal Pack - Porcupines. I mean if you know me or just looked a lot in threads here I'm pretty sure you notice to my obsession with Porcupines. So this is pretty much what makes the arid animal pack my favorite pack even though I pretty much like every animal in the pack but still the porcupines are what interests me the most Lol

Grassland Animal Pack - I mean it's such a quality pack! it came with the Emu which it is became my fav bird in the game, the Maned Wolf, Armadillo, Striped Hyena, Wallaby and Butterflies which for me they must have in my zoos. because I'm building hyper realistic so all those animals are common-very common in zoos so it's excellent for me! and it also added pretty much my two fav pieces in the entire game, the Buffalo Grass and the Sign Pole which I'm pretty much using it every time I can!

Africa Pack - White Rhino, Meerkats and African Penguin which you probably gonna see in almost every zoo you will go to! and again those animals are super useful for me!

the other two places for my 5 top dlcs are North America Animal Pack and the Tropical Pack! but yeah it is funny that my top 3 fav dlcs are hot theme packs!

Conservation pack (for building pieces, przewalski horse, axolotl)
European pack (for building pieces, animals close to home)
Arid animal pack (for wild donkey)
I would choose Twilight pack for the red fox but the rest of the animals and building pieces don't interest me as much. So arid wins with more animals to choose from and especially for the wild donkey I didn't expect PlanetZoo will find interesting enough to add it to the game.

I have to go with the ones that brought the major breakthroughs in building in my opinion.

Tropical: The Indonesian building set can't be missed in my opinion. It's one of the most versatile set and I'm still getting used to working with it, but it's just too good. None of the animals are the iconic zoo species, but I love building for the smaller animals in the zoo and they're all great in my opinion.
South America: Somehow I don't use the pieces that much, but it has some great and versatile stuff, plus animals that fit in every zoo. I was very tied between this pack and the Africa pack (which is much better in my opinion), but decided I need the rubble and bamboo pieces more than the mosaic tiles.
Europe: It hurts me to give up on aquatic animals and instead pick some that I probably won't use at all, but I need those decals and can't live without the rustic stone pieces.

I'm honestly heartbroken to not choose the Africa and Aquatic DLC, as both are among the best, but with only three picks I guess they just miss the cut. Same goes for the animal DLCs, but since I've been building for three years without actually adding animals (to prevent lag) I guess I'm better off without.

I would go with:

Aquatic - this is honestly the only scenery pack that I think is a must have (for me) regarding building pieces. The faux rock and tree pieces and the flexi-colour wood set are simply something I use constantly, it also had great aquatic foaliage.
Grasslands - great selection of animals, with the 2 most important Oceanian animals for the zoos I usually build.
Africa - the alst one was a bit harder to choose, but I feel like the animals are too important to not get this DLC. Meerkats are basically in most zoos I am familiar with, the penguin and White Rhino are a classical zoo animals and the Fox is a nice bonus.

Im pretty sure the pieces were part of the free update, but it sounds like you are pretty set on the pack anyways :D
