Hardware & Technical Gameplay footage

Hello There,

I just wondered if anybody has recorded gameplay footage from their IMac for Elite.

I am trying to use Quicktime Player and IMovie to record gameplay and myself playing the game.

I have contacted Apple support and they have ran tests on the software for my computer and it works fine, it just does not seem to work while running Elite.

for those that have an IMac or Macbook know what the 'rainbow ball' is when it tries to load something and this occurs when I press stop on the recording and the wheel just spins endlessly.

So my issue is, am i able to record gameplay footage and face cam footage whilst playing Elite or do I have to change some settings around in order for it to render and work?

So for any IMac experts out there please help!
