PvP Gameplay...LOL!

Hey, so I'm in open play just for the hell of it. I'm on my way to Jameson's Memorial to purchase a new ship. I have no passengers, no cargo, no data, nothing. I'm successfully interdicted by a player who opens fire without demands or anything, destroys me for what? For fun? What a joke! What incentive do I have for playing in open?

None. Hide.

Creep back under your stone.

Open isn't filled with these experiences, but you are going to be shot at for no reason at some point. If you don't like that don't go into Open.

Yep just happened to me rescuing people from obsidian orbital these players are sado's no respect for fellow cmdrs cowards really

To get good enough so that you can evade players like him with ease and chuckle about it on the forums instead of crying.

Or... They can just switch over to Solo or a Private Group and never play in OPEN again. One of these days you guys are going to learn that "Git Gud" is not the solution to every single complaint about the way some players behave in Open.

If the real solution is ever seriously implemented, then you might one day see solid and thriving community engagement within that game mode. Until then, I'm afraid you will continue to see more Tumble Weeds than Type 10s. ;)

Well three more tries, three more executions. I'm determined to get to this station in open play! I'm not letting this guy drive me away. I guess I have a new goal now!

You can do the following to get a little time advantage:
Go to SC towards the station,
check scanner if he start to get on your six.
Slow down, so you can drop normally out of SC.
Boost in a direction and use FA: OFF, set throttle to 0
turn the nose away from the direction you are moving towards.

Then you charge the FSD and as he enters you align with the drift direction
and leave the instance with some seconds adavantage since he is on cooldown :D

I certainly hope that you are "REPORTING" this guy each and every time he griefs you? A single incident could have been an accident or mistaken identity of something. But it sounds like you are basically being "Spawn Camped" by the same player each and every time? That Unsportsmanlike behavior violates the ED EULA.

If you are not sure how to go about reporting an A Hole, just ask and I am sure the folks following this thread will be able to help you get er done!

There is no excuse for what that other player is doing to you. I don't care what any griefer apologist may say to the contrary.

Quickly choose star. Press hyper space.

Hyperspace has no mass lock outside station boundaries.

Drop into space immediately.

Hyperjump 3x randomly.

This gets you away all of the time (if you hyperspace in time). Find an alternate destination or tootle distantly for a while before trying again.

Or stop fretting over not really real assets or not really real credits.

Or make notes and get bloody revenge.

Do anything other than whimper like a beaten dog.

Space is dark and full of terrors. As it should be.

It's called greifing. You will need to get used to it if you want to play this game in Open. Just fly with plenty of insurance or get int a PG.
