Hi, I'm an Empire guy getting bored of bounty hunting and trading...
So I consider having some some with smuggling/piracy. If I'm pirate in Federation system, do I lose reputation with Empire ? I want to try the fun to kill innocents (npc), black markets etc... but I don't want to lose my rep with Empire

The reputation system seems to be a bit bugged and a bit opaque, so it's hard to give a definite answer to your question.
Logically if you are not in empire systems and not attacking empire affiliated people then it shouldn't harm it.
