Hi all!

I am very much looking forward to the Gamescom event and Elite:Meet. Anyone lucky enough to go to the Elite:Meet or visit Gamescom this year? What are you looking forward to? Where are you from? Which day will you be going?

I was lucky enough to obtain one of the 100 tickets to the Elite:Meet and will be there on the fifth, travelling from the Netherlands. Will you be there or will you be watching the streams? During Gamescom I'll try to keep this post updated with the latest news and gossip (as my schedule allows).

Commanders who sent an ' Emergency Beacon' (people who need a place to sleep/ pickup/ want to meet):
(example) - CMDR XXXX needs a place to sleep on DATE

Commanders who can help out (have a place to sleep, want to give people a tour of the city, want to meet up for drinks?)
(example) - CMDR XXXX is hosting a pre-meet at YYYY (please do not disclose the place of the actual Elite: Meet)

Schedule
- August 5th 4PM CEST (3PM UK time): pre-show Q&A with David Braben and Sandro Sammarco live from Gamescom (@twitch) <-- changed to the fifth (wednesday!)
- August 5th: evening Elite:Meet at an undisclosed location (please do not post the location in this thread, thank you.)
- Every Gamescom day: livestreams from 12PM-5POM CEST (11AM-4PM UK time): announcements, interviews, tours, footage and more

shall be there thursday from midday onwards. planning to do the business- and entertainment aswell as the public areas. not attending the Elite:Meet though ;)

live just outside cologne. if anyone needs help, holler maybe i can ^^

shall be tweeting a wee bit, too :D

Does anyone need a ride from the airport, want to meet up for drinks or need a place to sleep? Please post in this topic and I'll put your request in the first post.

Have something to offer, want to meet up or have place where other commanders can spend the night? Offers that are 'free of charge' (or at cost) will also be placed in the first post.

There definitely is, but unsure if I can photograph it with the possible sensitive info on it. :p

It's definitely written as "Elite: Meet".

Also, nice service you guys offer here! I live nearby so I'll be fine with getting there.

Managed to persuade my beautiful wife to go to Germany on our holiday this year! ;)
Will be at the meet on the Wednesday and testing the Rift at Gamescom on the Sunday...
That gives me a few days in the middle to actually have a vacation in Germany. Anybody got any suggestions as ive never been before? :)
