Gamescom expectations

Whatever it's PL sneak peek (I hope it is) or something else, the question is not if we want it or not.

ED is a whole universe, they need to fill it with content. All that takes time. David wanted from the start to make a game that was different however true to the lore

I remember that there was even talk about starting without a ship, an you needed to work your way up as a crew member to earn money to buy your own ship.

So ED is going to been a long journey before its done, if that is even possible.

For now we need to fill the universe and to do that one of the things we need are the PL.

I am not too bothered about planetary landing without all the extra features

As they have already said so ship/station walking as of yet but planned in the future. Everyone has different expectations / hopes : I wouldn't mind having alot more player interaction (which also can translate to having players being able to board ships, and have a drink at a bar in a station etc.) But that will come in due time I am guessing. I don't really care what they announce at Gamescon aslong as it adds to the depth of E: D which is Lacking. (and not some fake depth extra grind "à la Powerplay").

I'd most like to see either improved missions or planetary landings. For improved missions I'm thinking of tier 2 NPCs, faces in mission briefings and passengers. It would be nice even to just have civilian missions, like delivering a package to a friend in another system. Things to make the galaxy seem more alive. I'm not sure if I'll jump in and buy a partial planetary landings expansion or wait until it's complete. I want to hear that icy wind on Merlin and at New Rossyth, and look up at the rings of He Bo 4. Speaking of which, the post-FFE inhabited planets could really do with names.

Or maybe they've built a working cobra and are demonstrating the first version of planetary landings :D Galaxy Quest Cobra crash.jpg
