Hello fellow commanders!

Its still over month to gamescom but that doesnt stop us to speculate what will be coming to Elite in coming months. :D Braben & co. has hinted that they have something BIG to announce in gamescom. :eek:

Sounds Big to me :cool:

So let the speculations go! is it planetary landing? FPS, walking inside stations and ships? does anaconda get its docking bay or is it recruitable npc's?

Since its such a secret, one would guess that it's not something we are expecting (aka Planetary landings, FPS, ship crews, etc). So i think its going to be another one like Powerplay or CQC. Whether its will be good or bad remains to be seen. I do worry though - generally the bigger the hype, the worse the product. (and not just talking about FD here - talking about almost anything).

FD will remove PVP from the game

ppl can then monotonously run the same trade from one station to another while all singing happy lullabys in a galaxy which has achieved ever lasting peace, because apparently thats fun

if it is BIG news I personally hope its planetry landings and being able to actually move about our ships and hangars(just as a start).
the only other big news could be the possibility of FD allowing more than 4 man wings and better options to get groups/clans together in game.

I agree with you, I hope planetary anything will be the next coming major expansion, I was just being sarcastic.

I'm expecting a paid release announcment which would certainly be the last straw for me and many I know at this stage.

If it was the planetary landings for free or another feature that was meant to be paid for free, then that would be a complete U-Turn for frontier in my book and they would have won my support back for at least another year.

But right now I'm inclined to expect the worse - that we are being farmed for cash.

I doubt it'll be thargoids, FD said they'd 'activate' them without warning.

Yeah, FD delivering the DLC they told us about so long ago would totally be 'the worst'.

It would when most of the promised features, DDA etc were never implemented whilst the main game is still bugged like mad.

CQC will come to PC and Mac as a free update late this year. All updates so far have been free. Expansions will cost money, cause they'll double the amount of content. Kickstarter backers who have the Lifetime Expansion Pass get it for free.
