gameshop item: alternative cockpits

heya,

wouldn't it be in idea to add alternative cockpit layouts to the gameshop? (let's forse the new season payment)

i personaly hate the fdl cockpit, even when the ship fits my needs more then the python, the fdl cockpit is to single reason why i don't use this ship.

why? asynchronous layout, it's awefull to look at this displaced main seat position all the time.

so a new cockpit, where the pilot sits in the middle and a possible multicrew member is placed somewhere else.

i know the python aint syncon too, but it's not that bad.

also, how about alternative main cockpit colors?

I like everything you have to say. But I would just settle for "reskins" of the cockpits. the future Anaconda cockpit change for instance... NOT A FAN. I checked it out on beta, I did NOT LIKE IT. So offer me the chance to buy back my cockpit. I will!

I'd like a new look dashboard in my Viper, not the scratched up worn one.

Ideally i can use both, then the MKIII can be alll scratched and worn, and the MKIV can be new and shipyard fresh

yea, colors are a important thing. i can't even count how often i couldn't see stuff, because the bright cockpit color of a ship and the orange from the hud mixed up, this clearly aren't great design choices (the lack of a darker background or dark glow for hud items is another story)

Not sure if the level of effort from FD would result in a reasonable cost, but I'd be really happy if they did this and they could be sold for a decent price. I'd probably drop some money on it, if I could select a more standardized look-and-feel across my fleet.

I'd go for this: a selection of 'trims' to go with paintjobs perhaps.

Always wanted a completely white ship, oddly. I do like the interiors of the Imperial ships, having got rather fed up with the grimy, industrial style that's in most SF a long time ago. I mean, my car's interior is shiny and chrome and well-looked after. If I had a ship in real life I'd keep the cockpit well-presented and valeted too
