Gaming, Peace, and Griefing

This video isn't actually about griefing, not directly, but in talking about how gaming can be used positively, it reminds me why griefing in its worst form bugs me so much (no, not PvP, I mean griefing).

When players are being toxic towards other for their own laughs and amusement, the ratio between people amused vs people upset is weighed heavily against the griefer.

Interesting video.

I just go by two rules:

(1) Don't fly what you can't rebuy.
(2) If you get blown to atoms in an environment and you didn't enjoy the event or excitement associated with it, switch to solo.

Give rise to a new phrase.... preaching to the grifers -- complete waste of your time.

Or, preaching to the trolls. Same difference.

Find friends and fly in a private group especially when doing activities together. Then you don't have to worry about grifers...or go solo as said before.

Honestly, this isn't supposed to be about stopping griefing per se, more like I like the message Extra Credits was sending and it explained why griefing me off on a basic level.

Again, not PvP. I like PvP fine. I like competition. I like cooperation.

Ideally I wish this game could embrace a healthy amount of both without toxic griefers making people mad through their nonsense or toxic carebears insisting "I'm not your content." An Open world where both PvE and PvP were respected equally, and, win or lose, people feel inclusive instead of exclusive.

Naive, I know, but it's what I'd like to see.
