General / Off-Topic Gaming time as you get older

Guess I'm kinda lucky in some ways (maybe not in others). I'm single, not married, no kids, so all my income and spare time is my own. I play whenever I want to, which is quite a bit, when I'm not working obviously.

We all should be very happy :-D

While I love gaming, I love my family a whole lot more :-D

And I love gaming with my family the most!

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Sounds like you hit the jackpot. Near every girl ive ever dated, upon learning that i play video games does....'the look'.
'The look' is often a barometer to me that things might get rocky down the road a little.

I dream of a day when i might meet my perfect lady geek counterpart.

You don't need a ladygeek - just someone who respects your interests and allows you to be yourself. :)

This is where cheating in multiplayer games really gets my goat up. You work and the very little spare time you get is ruined by a scum bag with no life. Makes you grrrrr hard.

No change for me. I'm an aromantic* with strong asocial tendencies. :p

An aromantic is a person who experiences little or no romantic attraction to others. Where romantic people have an emotional need to be with another person in a romantic relationship, aromantics are often satisfied with friendships and other non-romantic relationships.

Career keeps me busy but I squeeze an hour here and there on weeknights when we don't have family nights or when my wife and my teenage daughter's are watching chick flicks. On the weekends I may be able to get in a few hours straight early before the family gets up.
