I've just started really trying out the game, and I'm on the travel tutorial. The details provided during the tutorial aren't great, but I think I have figured it out. Regardless, I end up in hyperspace forever, I have to force close the app to get out. I have waited more than 5 minutes to no avail. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Here is what I do:
Exit station, lift landing gear, get more than 5k away.
Go to the galaxy map, select the proper training destination by selecting it with the mouse and then hitting the trigger (couldn't figure out how to do this with joystick only). This puts a yellow cone on top of the "training" destination target. I now have an indicator on my hud to "point" my ship.
I center up my destination in the hud indicator, then hit the FSD Hyperspace.
I sit in hyperspace, well, basically forever. No controls have any effect.
What am I missing? Ive tried this several times now.
