Gamma Issue / Colors washed out?

Hi all.

Since upgrading to ED 2.0.07 and Oculus 1.3 (DK2 is unchanged), I notice the color is "washed out" of everything.

For example, the normal bright orange of the HUD is now a rusty brown (as is the spinning ship in the ED load screen).

What is interesting is when I bring up the "Station Services" menu, the vibrant color is back! However, the regular game options menu along with everything else feels like it's had a gray rinse :(

As anyone else experiencing this issue? I've been fiddling with settings (both in and outside of ED) without any luck.

Other than that, I can certainly feel a performance improvement since the upgrade. Well done Frontier and Oculus - I can't wait for my CV!

i have been getting this even when i was using 0.6, its the same in 1.3 and it really kills the immersion. strangely in steamvr with 0.8 all the black levels are correct and the colours look so much deeper and richer.

i expect when valve get around to compiling steamvr against 1.3 all will be good again but it would be nice to be able to run oculus 1.3 native with good contrast.
was playing adr1ft last night with 1.3 runtime and in that game you can set the contrast so its something that can be done.

Just a thought but is your head tracking sensor plugged in and recognised? If I unplug it, I get the same behaviour, so wondering if the setting hasn't detected it correctly

You picked it in one Lestenio - THANK YOU. Moving it to another USB port got it sorted.

In my haste to test out the upgrade it seems I've not noticed the blue LED was unlit on the IR camera (at least, that's my excuse).
[rolleyes]
