Hey y’all today I wanted to talk about animals that are friendly, safe for guests and aren’t necessarily going to help with conservation credits. I call these animals “garden animals”. I see the Indian Peafowl as a “garden animal” as it falls in line of all of what I said above.
I also consider the dwarf caiman a garden animal as it doesn’t need much space and South American foliage certainly looks garden worthy (wish they could be tolerant of having more then 2 in habitat). Capuchins and macaques are harmless and could certainly have colorful foliage for a garden.
I would think of other animals such as pelicans, small penguins, platypus and some other kinds of monkey would be a great fit.
so what would y’all like as a garden animals? Remember: small, numerous, not easily stressed and could fit in in a nice scenery/plants.
