Gas Earth

Has anybody been to the spot marked on the EDSM map as "Gas Earth" in the Flyua Dryoae DG-M d8-32 system? I'm not sure which planet in the system they're referring to as Gas Earth, the description says: "A tiny gas "giant", only slightly larger than the Earth, almost orbiting another gas giant. With a radius of only 8787 km it is the smallest gas giant discovered so far". I don't see a planet in the system with a radius like that, all the gas giants have 70,000km radius or more and there's a water giant at 25,000 km.

Looks like it was corrected in one of the updates, neither EDSM or EDDB list such a thing so it's a glitch of the matrix that has been corrected.

I've found the problem. In the original entry page on the GMP thread (entry #50 in this post) the system ID is given as "Flyua Dryoae DG-M d8-3", not "d8-32". It is the third planet in that system, which is unfortunately not listed in EDSM, but here's the original submission screenshot:

So it's an error in copying system information over into EDSM.

Well done, looks like I will have to put it into my "places to be visited" bookmarks set to correct it's status to being in EDSM.

I quadruple checked everything I had, my position in-game, the Galaxy map on EDSM and looking through the list of bodies in the system, before I asked. I spent a long day traveling/scanning and by the time I got to this system my brain was a little mushy with the addition of the fact I was a little intoxicated. So I didn't trust my own eyes or mind and kept looking for what I was missing, I thought for sure I'd ask and somebody would point out that the thing was right under my nose and I'd feel like an idiot for losing a whole planet. Even if it is small for a gas giant. It honestly never occurred to me that there was a typo on EDSM.

How many lyrs is it away from Sol?

Not really sure, I left there yesterday morning and I'm currently docked at Sagan Research Centre out by Thor's Helmet. It's fairly close to the Bubble though (both systems, the real Gas Earth system was only 1 or 2 jumps from the incorrect system), I only went there because the first waypoint of the Stellar Unknown expedition left me sitting right outside the bubble in a not-very-interesting area. So to keep myself entertained for a week until the next waypoint is released I started checking out the POIs in the area on the galaxy map. Even those weren't terribly interesting, hence the detour to Thor's Helmet and Seagull.

Screenshot the system map then. I'd go myself, but I'm busy material farming

Well one of the screenshots I posted earlier was of the system map. It was zoomed in on the planet of interest though, Gas Earth. Do you need a screenshot of the whole system? I'll snap another one but I'm curious what it's for. Sherlock Sapyx already solved The Adventure Of The Disappearing Gas "Giant". Is this for information on EDSM or something?

I'm a bit puzzled as well, the mystery of the dissapearing gas earth, as stated, was resolved much earlier in the thread, the system designation had been entered incorrectly in the records so we were all looking at the wrong system, a re-read of the thread may be in order I think.
