My god. They are better than I thought they would be. Well worth the trip.

Yeah, some unlocks require a reload. I get that with permits.

Have fun, these things are glorious.
 
The fsd booster is the only guardian item I'm interested in, I'm heading out tonight to get the blueprint for it.

Let's get my new Krait a nice jumprange :D
 
The Guardian Shield Reinforcement is pretty neat too [yesnod].

Yeah but they all take module slots and I'm not a combat pilot in the first place.
The fsd booster makes for an interesting add on for my exploration ships though.
It even makes my Corvette a reasonable jumper.
 
There nice for exploration ships but I didn't want to sacrifice anything on my combat,trade ,mining or passenger ships.Might do the shields next though.
 
74.13ly on my exploraconda with a fighter hangar! I can't recommend them enough. Can you imagine the potential if there wasn't a 1 per ship limit? Colonia just around the corner.

Which would ruin the feel of traveling, exploring and accomplishment IMO.
 
It nearly killed me gathering all the mats for the FSD booster and shield package in one sitting but they’re both crazy good mods.

I got enough "stuff" to get the power plant, distributor, hull and shield reinforcements at the same time, much easier when there are two of you taking turns for the blueprints.
 
Got me the fsd booster last night, they're absolutely great, my Krait jumps 40ly now with all maximum modules, slf bay, two SRVs and full weapons, etc.
Visiting the attacked bases in the Pleiades atm, just 12 jumps from Sol, perfect.

The Guardian ruin is nice, atmosphere, mood, etc. but I won't be coming there soon again, the process is nice for once but I'm not gonna grind them multiple times.
Besides, the fsd booster was the only item that I'm interested in.
 
Spent the first day opening that up. Fuel Rat ship, Asp X called Ocelot, now equipped with level 5.

These guardian FSD boosters appear to offer a flat boost to your jump range that is unaffected by your ships weight/cargo

Just bolted a class 4 booster on a T9. Class 4 booster provides 9.25ly of range.

• Standard jump range empty with no booster: 21.9ly
• Standard with booster: 31.1y
• Jump Range with no booster and 740t of cargo: 12.21ly [knocked out]
• Jump range with 740t of cargo and booster: 21.45ly [money]

I lose 16t of cargo but it’s turning 3 jump trade routes into 1. A worthy sacrifice...
