General / Off-Topic Geek Question For Frontier Devs

Been enjoying the game quite a bit. Despite my few complaints i've poored in over 40 hours. 20 of those hours may have been on scenery alone...

just a few questions about the lovely engine this game runs in:

1.) What language does your team program with in Cobra?
2.) Is this the same Cobra engine framework you've used on RCT3? (maybe even further back) Like Infinity Ward does with the Quake 2 engine on COD? Or at some point was their entire overhaul?
3) Is in entirely proprietary or is there an SDK maybe??
 
I'm not a developper, and maybe wrong, but I think the answers are :

C++ / Lua

2.) Is this the same Cobra engine framework you've used on RCT3? (maybe even further back) Like Infinity Ward does with the Quake 2 engine on COD? Or at some point was their entire overhaul?
PlanetCoaster is made using this engine, just like Elite Dangerous, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Zoo Tycoon, Kinect Disneyland Adventures, etc...

3) Is in entirely proprietary or is there an SDK maybe??
Yes it is 100% proprietary, and no, there is no public SDK and no public API either.
(To the best of my belief, and for now at least, maybe in the future)
