GeForce 466.63 WHQL drivers, salvation ?

I've just installed these. They did two things for me:

1. They broke GSYNC

2. They improved Odyssey performance drastically. I'm now getting 5 FPS more on Ultra than I got before on Low.

Edit: My GPU load went from 50-60% to 80-90% with these.

It seems that you have unwittingly made the fortune of a hacker. Have you tried to see if you have a gain in another GPU-intensive application ?

It might be the update 2/2.1, after it i crashed for the first time with odyssey while switching filters on the galaxy map
Nope, it crashed every 3-4 minutes. I rolled the driver back. FPS are down again, but game stable. Will try again with the next driver.

I'll give the new drivers a shot now on my secondary machine. (GTX970, i5 4690). Just going planetside first to check the FPS at a given site.

Downloading the drivers, will give them a shot. For those who do try them, please report back on whether you crash like OP did.

I got the same FPS (43) emerging from the lift and looking across the concourse. (No change to any settings. Just installed the drivers and rebooted.)

When I walked up to the same NPC, stood close and took a screenshot, I got 31 fps with the previous driver and 55 with the new.

Looking through windows of the stores is still a frame-rate killer no matter what. But it was 5 fps quicker:

Note: I started the game up just to take the screenshots each time, so any FPS difference wasn't due to memory leaks or lag built up over a session.

I'm going to fly to the planet now and check the fps there.
