I am not seeing this with the exact same driver version. I use Riva Tuner to limit the frame rate to 60 at all times (beyond what my screen can display, more frames are just useless load on GPU) and the frame rate is stable at 60 fps (1920*1080, Ultra Settings with 1.5x SMAA on GTX 980, Windows 7 64-bit). Did you try if the issue changes between full screen and borderless window?
Isn't that driver that caused major system crashes when you tried to run Watch Dogs 2? I avoided it for that reason.
All,
Not sure if anyone else has seen this, But I updated the Drivers today to the 384.76 version, and the frame rate in ED dropped from +/- 150 to +/- 35
rolled back the drivers to the 382.53 Version and the FPS is back up to +/- 150

im curious why its inconvenient? i only play full screen (i never have problems like this thread btw im just curious) and alt tab a lot to post on forums during long SC or to check stuff and emails when docked.Do you happen to play in Borderless mode? If so, switch to Full Screen. It's fixed the issue for me.
Reported it as a bug, but perhaps this is driver issue rather than game's?
Playing in FS mode is very inconvenient and I hope we will get a fix one way or another... With the amount of 3rd party tools we need to play the game in a convenient way, Bordeless mode is a must really.

ahh now i see thanks for the info. i could probably play on 2 screens if i halve my fps by dropping my graphics settings. thats the downside of a laptop - i COULD put a tv on the HDMI connection but...Because I use 2 screens and quite often I need both game and 3rd party tool or some website on screen at the same time. Plus it takes longer for the game to get minimised and maxismised again.
My PC is running as per normal with 384.76. I always use DDU to clear completely the old drivers. And install Nvidia drivers without GeForce experience.
System specs encase anybody is interested.
