GeForce Now on Xbox, EDO and controllers

Hi

I've got a steam account and EDO on PC as well as EDH on Xbox S(which I prefer, and you're not getting rid of me so easily!)

I've been experimenting with getting EDO on my Xbox using Edge and Geforce Now, which works except for the controllers. It doesn't recognise the Xbox Controller and thinks that it is some combination of Keyboard and Mouse so the controls won't work properly and I can't configure them.

Is there a way of getting this to work? I've seen people on here say that they are running EDO on Geforce Now on Xbox, so if you are please can you let me know how to work around the controller issue.

When you start edge it's in cursor mode to click on Web pages etc. Use this to start geforce now and start ED but when it starts choose the view button to get the edge menu up and then choose use controller on the top of that list
It can be a bit fidly to get it to work but you get used to it
Oh and don't forget to choose controller in the options menu, for each submenu such as starship and vehicle controls

I decided to give EDO one last go on my Series X using GE Force/ Epic games account to decide if i want to do the profile transfer or just sack it off and was very pleasantly surprised! I signed up for a month at "priority" level on NVDIA and it looks pretty good.. no lag for me, graphics good enough to play.. I also struggled with the cursor and controller but as mentioned above you can switch between cursor or controller mode (i think the little button with three lines on it on the controller does this too?!) and the issue i had with the whopping great Edge cursor being left on screen seems to have disappeared. its a bit fiddly to set up but once you get your head around it i think its worth a go.. hopefully one of the talented Elite content creators will make a youtube vid on how to do this! o7
