Any tips on making buildings?

Also, when I have to give animals heaters and coolers, how to I keep the effect from flowing over into other/outside exhibits. Same with terrain overflow out of the exhibit.
Finally, does Planet Zoo have an official discord or reddit page?

You don't.
Finally, does Planet Zoo have an official discord or reddit page?
The only official social media for PZ is this forum, their Twitter page, and I believe their Facebook page. There is a subreddit dedicated to PZ but it isn't official and AFAIK it isn't really monitored by Frontier.

Maybe it'll help you in the Beginning to look at Reference Pictures of real Buildings or other Peoples Zoos to get some Inspiration. Also look up some Building Tutorials on YouTube because not everything about building is mentioned in the Tutorial. It's really useful to know how to rotate Objects and adjust the Position with the Arrows.

They also have a Instagram Account

Underwater viewing?
I hope someone will post some really useful Tips because I'm struggling with this myself

Landscaping exhibits?
Think about if you can use some Pieces in special Ways. I for Example like it to use the two Faux Rock Pieces that look like multiple smaller Rocks on the Ground of small Rivers and recolor them in multiple Greys and Browns so they won't all look the same.
I've also seen the Faux Tree Trunks being recolored and turned upside down to make a Cliff that surrounds a Enclosure.
Animals also care more about the Amount of Plants than which Biome or Continent they are from. You can for Example still have a Bengal Tiger or a Hyena at 99% Happiness in a Enclosure with Oaks or Maple Trees.
You can also sink the Spawners of movable Enrichment Items like Balls for Example into the Ground so they won't ruin your Landscape. You can also sink the Underwater Fish Feeder into the Ground if you add Water first. This should also work for other Objects that would normally change the Terrain.

Also, when I have to give animals heaters and coolers, how to I keep the effect from flowing over into other/outside exhibits. Same with terrain overflow out of the exhibit.
With the Heaters and Coolers you can only be really careful how you place them but I think there might be a Option that prevents Terrain from being changed on the other Side of the Barrier

Alright that's quite the order , I'll help with what I can. Yes there is a discord and Reddit page for the game (links - Reddit / Discord )

- let's start with the coolers/heaters. This is a difficult one to manage personally since I have struggled to contain the range of these with various attempts of rock / plant layers but sadly these do not always succeed. Try out different kind of natural barriers like rocks or hard surface plants to see if these work for you. Sandbox mode allows to turn off temperate requirements if it bugs you too much or try to contain similar animals together so temperate differences will not matter. I'm not sure exactly what you mean about terrain overflow , just use the smooth and pull/push tools to manage terrain to a certain area

- Landscaping exhibits - this is a very open question for various interpretations because landscaping highly differs to each biome /animal type. We can have a pretty flat and bland African mixed herbivore habitat with some trees and grass scattered about and it would still be realistic enough because that's how it is in real life.
But for the sake of learning - turn on the roughen tool for a varied level landscape with little to no effort. Then make a water pool using the push tool/then smooth tool and finally add water. Ensure you have smooth terrain sides so animals can enter the water. Then add rocks to match the animal continent like desert rock for African animals or tropical for apes. Then you add trees again look at what kind of trees an animal might have , then low level plants like bushes/grass/decorative plants

- Underwater viewing. Alright underwater viewing can be difficult to make if one is new to advanced building. So you want to landscape first making a lower path area to allow guests getting a fairly good view of an underwater animal. The new ramp tool makes this pretty easy to get a nice slope for your path. Once you have a flat area below , add a good sized glass barrier along your path area - this can be higher as you need because you can lower the glass once finished. From ground level you need a smooth slope for your animals to enter easily , a good height of barrier could be 4 metres so your lowered viewing area should be 4 metres below your main path to allow proper viewing. Encase your intended water area in a full glass barrier along with landscaped terrain - add your water and adjustcthd height of the barrier to your likening.

- making buildings - Making complex buildings is no easy feat as advanced building can takes months to master. The basic guide is outer walls - roof - windows/doors - details. If you are wnating an indoor building then path down - indoor items down - outer walls - inner walls - indoor decorations - roof - windows - roof - exterior details.
But for an easy guide we can use a food shop building. Add 4 metre walls around the sides and back , a window wall in the front. Add a arched roof ontop and an angled wall piece on the open sides of the roof. Add a door somewhere, a shop sign for decoration and an air con unit piece on the side.

This should probably help a lot to learn the most important Stuff about building. I think I've learned all the advanced Building Stuff from him too.

This unofficial Website is also pretty useful:

There are some YouTubers that are great builders and habitat designers that have also made (and continue to make) tutorials on all kinds of aspects. Koali Zoo is a huge project of an incredible zoo you could look at in order to get some inspiration - just don’t let it intimidate you! These creators have had lots of building experience from a similar game before (Planet Coaster).
Check out the tutorial videos by Rudi Rennkamel and Deladysigner, and/or search on YT explicitly for Planet Zoo tutorials as there are most likely other great tutorials I am not familiar with.

Ultimately, a lot of it is just learning by doing, perseverance and practice. From the images or videos of zoos people post here, you can see how much everyone has improved from when starting out.
