Hi Folks,
Many discussions revolve around various load-outs for combat roles, but I'm curious about turret versus gimbals for best coverage with a large ship when you are not playing multi-crew.
I understand that fixed means I need to be pointed at the target ship. But both turret and gimbals mounts imply that the weapon can swing to attack the target ship. I want to be able to use the larger ship for power and hardpoints, but want to be able to chase down the little guys understanding that my turning speeds will be a limiting factor.
I've socked away plenty of cash and would like to build an "attach me, I dare you" ship based on a T10 Defender, Corvette, or Cutter. Since I'm just getting into combat builds, all of the internals are a bit new from Mining/Exploration.
Here's what I'd like:
What else should I be focussed on?

Here's what I'd like:
- NO Cargo
- 20LY FSD range (have engineering unlocked)
- Largest Power Plant and Power Distributor I can load
- Largest Biweave Shield
- Military interior bits
- AFM(s)
- Shield Boosters, Chaff, ECM, and Point Defense
What else should I be focussed on?
