A legendary mastermind of the zombie genre has died at age 77 on Sunday morning in his sleep following a “brief but aggressive battle with lung cancer.”
As a kid I absolutely loved all his zombie movies, he was a true master of the dead.

Nice tribute to a legend, i was about to start a thread but i saw this one.

I'm a huge zombie genre fan, i love his films, night , dawn (my favourite), day (original), land and diary (i like to pretend survival never happened).
He inspired big favourites of mine such as shaun, dawn remake, the World war Z book and shows such as the Walking dead and Fear the Walking dead.

I may need to watch one of Romero's films tonight, if not i'll at least watch a zombie movie or episode, after all he was the man who created the modern mainstream zombie.

His movies and the ones that he inspired had a quite influence on me, I know those are zombie movies but still I really like them. As a kid I wrote a few crossovers and fan fictions about them.

Frontier should name a derelict and spooky station after him.

The station should launch Viper Mk 1s, which are wrecks, but which nevertheless attack your cockpit viciously.
