Damn 2016 is being a reaper :|

This is not a year, it's an hideous entity with a mind of its own and a job to accomplish...seems like Carrie Fisher just gave 2016 a mild middle finger, so it simply proceeded to cross out the couple next ones from its list (Rick Parfitt, Status Quo's guitarist, and then George Michael).

Still six days of this [where is it]...

Was never a fan when I was younger. Wham!? Come on. Then I saw him do "Somebody to Love" at the Queen tribute concert in 92. Thought yeah, that guy can sing.

Let's hope next year won't be as tragic as this one. Another big loss.
RIP George. Your music will live forever.

2016 took these singers : David Bowie, Glenn Frey (Eagles), Paul Kantner (Jefferson Airplane), Maurice White (Earth, Wind & Fire), Keith Emerson and Greg Lake (Emerson, Lake and Palmer), Phife Dawg (A Tribe Called Quest), Merle Haggard, Prince, Leonard Cohen, Sharon Jones, Rick Parfitt (Status Quo), George Michael

Generally it is only done with people within the genre that elite has, science and science fiction, soooo yeah...

I think David Bowie would qualify under the science fiction category. Not that I think pop stars are worthy of anything except the money they earn.

I would add Lemmy Kilmister to the list...I know it wasn't 2016 yet, but being so by a mere three days I classify his loss as "2016 doing a dry run".

A bit of Humour ... In Austria, for 2 hours the DJ Joe Kohlhofer barricaded himself early in the morning in the studios of the Austrian radio "Antenne Kärnten". Broadcast 24 times and without interruption, the song "Last Christmas" forced the daughter of the Austrian fanatical to manifest. She called her father to ask him to stop his hostage taking radio. "I wanted to play it all day. But I love my daughter and I respected her request" says Joe Kohlhofer, unscrupulously :D ---- http://metro.co.uk/2015/12/21/dj-lo...-plays-whams-last-christmas-non-stop-5577779/
