That is true. My personal wish is that they would redo Blakes 7. Great stories, mediocre acting and awful sets and special effects apart from the liberator which was excellent.
There was a ship in Frontier Elite which always made me think of the Liberator. It might have been the Imperial Courier, but I stand to be corrected as that far back is a hazy place. Of course these days many of the designs have changed. Some for the better. Some....... well, sometimes you shouldn’t fix what ain’t broke.

But it’s all in the eye of the beholder and my eye probably views those days with mightily rose coloured glasses.
I was fond of Blake’s Seven, but Space 1999 holds a very special place in my heart. Saturday morning I was glued to the tv until Commander Koenig and co had finished their adventures. Even season 2 didn’t diminish my love for this show, although “The Rules of Luton” had a damn good try!

(I actually lived in Luton at the time.)
Even today the theme music fills me with the best kind of nostalgia, especially season one, although season twos more rocky upbeat vibes very quickly grew on me. Ahhhh life was a very different place then.
Many years later I visited America for the first time and saw an episode of a StarTrek show we didn’t have here yet. “Deep Space Nine”.

And in the episode, Moon Base Alpha’s chief pilot Alan Carter (would he be Nick Tate? Memory is fuzzy) was playing a crime gang lieutenant. I spent half the episode saying “I KNOW that guy!” and when I worked it out I could hardly believe how different he looked with age.
Anyway, enough of my waffling.
Badger out.
