Get Access Denied to EliteDangerous64.exe during update

Hi,
I am getting this exception during attempt to update my game:

I am running game via Epic, clicking OK kills the launcher, waiting for update to finish is not possible as the exception blocks the update at >1m mark.
Any suggestions?
