Hello Chappies ad Chappets,

I'm suggesting this thread as a place to get back in touch with folk you used to play on line with at some point or another,

I used to play Deus Ex on line a lot... for several years and I loved the community. I've got a good feeling that Elite Dangerous ma be the next game that consumes many a midnight hour.

I played as Joe Pineapples in several clans, TCN, GHOST, DE, DA, ABC, APC, DEA and a bunch of others. Many years have passed and it would be cool to get back in touch with folk from the old school. So Marvin, Dexter, Bugs, Johnny Bravo, RoadRunner, Mutely and all the other Deus EX players, if you're still out there get back in touch.

Any one else looking to reunite with old Chumrades here a good place to post.

I'm in the process of building a Socket.io based chat tool with all the systems as a drop down. As you jump in, you switch. This would be a little widget style chat thing you could alt-tab on top.

With that you can set your commander name and chat. It even comes with a node-webkit based client that directly connects to it. Runs on Windows, OSX and Linux so you can run it on a separate laptop. The idea is to connect you with other pilots in system.

Until FD implement chat, or maybe it can run along side it as meta chat :D
