Get rid of docking request denied

I've only been playing this a few days but I've already had enough of the pointless 'docking request denied' due to capacity.

I didn't, nor did anyone else, buy this game to take part in a traffic jam. The trader grind is long enough as it is but to have the truly pointless 'drd' due to capacity is so poor and let's face it, does not bring a thing to the game whatsoever.

I'm surprised it was even brought in in the first place.

Bin it please.

Switch to solo whenever that pops up. OR get out of the starter system since that place is probably experiencing stupid amounts of traffic.

Would you prefer it to not say anything? Go to a station not an outpost and you'll be fine or go to one that is less popular. It just means there are people blocking the landing pad.

You could try one of the other approx. 200,000 stations that are available to you :)

(note: 200,000 is my estimate and may be wildly inaccurate... but there are definitely too many to count).

So you cant see the point of it-Really? No i want rid of it!.... NO WORRIES sir.....

Imagine this situation:
You are flying to an outpost...
You ask for docking(it does not say DSD, because you DEMANDED it be removed as it is useless) and you go and land on a "empty pad", half awake from long day at work / combat or a long trade route.. and you are not paying attention...But there is a ship inside the landing pad, and you are parked on top of their pad...

Warning
Parking fine...
Count down timer..
Warning

BOOM <YOU ARE DEAD>

Shocked and angry at this sad ending to you precious life you go onto the forums...you can just see it:

I DIED BECAUSE IT DIDN'T TELL ME NOT TO DOCK, AND I LOST XXXXXX MILLIONS!
**********************NEEEERD RAGE****************

Several hundred other people died to this, because you demanded that the "helpful warning" be removed because it is useless...
Then people will beg for a "fix to this big glitch", to prevent this nasty game glitch from happening ever again...

OR

Just leave it as it is.... hmmm

Just a though...

Are you sure it isn't because you are more than 7.5K from the station when you make the request and you are assuming it is a capacity problem. Because I have never received a capacity message even when it is at a platform and I can see the only available pad is occupied. You get the same message for being too far away as there not being a pad for your ship.

Nothing wrong with "request denied".

Some people just want to complain about anything and everything.

I had to make the request 3 times recently. Took months of therapy and anger management but somehow I got through it.

Typical.. "wah wah, I have no patience, remove it". *sigh*

Yup, do seem to see quite a few tantrum demands for this or that to be removed or changed to dumb things down.

Another thing: you will get that message if you try to land an anaconda on a sidewinder sized pad. Used to be outposts were size restricted up to T-6. Anything bigger would get that message but I think that has been changed now so bigger ships can land... If I am wrong my apologies.

also outposts have limited space for landing pads... they may already be in use... I have often gotten that message and watched the pads closely only to see a vessel leave a pad.. then I got permission to land.

On outposts, wait until you see a ship lift off. It doesn't take long. What bugs me is getting assigned a landing pad right near the slot at star ports

The system is fine. You just need to abandon your missions and fly to different systems ~15-20 light years away where there are less people. The starter systems are packed because people bought the game during Black Friday sale period

If a station denies docking just shoot it. That will tell them that you don't want to wait, and they will make sure you're not waiting any longer :D

What a lovely way to introduce yourself to the forums here,by calling several experienced players tools and cretins. Welcome and well done.

As for the actually topic here. System works well,no need for change.

I like that an outpost can be full. Please do not change it. (I shall ignore the personal insults)

Lol some cretin responses and some helpful ones. As for the helpful ones, I've done the necessary but cheers anyway. I presumed that the starting position was random so will probably move further afield.

As for the tool bag moanings. I take it everyone paid for this game? Did anyone pay to experience the wonderful simulation of a traffic jam in a game they paid for? If you want to experience that just go outside, get in your car at rush hour. You can enjoy a traffic jam for free then. You can then go home and experience it on here aswell. So realistic, so fun.
If you are throwing cretin insults around sweety and calling people tool bags then perhaps you should spend a little longer looking in the mirror when you wake up.
You came across much too aggressive to need any further replies to your obnoxious posts from myself so if you don't mind I will just ignore your little ass from now on.
