This is perfectly true but doesn't that mean that whoever thought up the terms of the CG didn't put enough effort into it? A reward that is meaningless to the majority of contributors doesn't exactly encourage people to take part in future goals.

I did the CG. I made four two jump round trips in my Python selling a total of 1,120 water purifiers. Between the 250k profit or so that I made from them, the 2.5m profit I made selling Imperial slaves on the return trip to buy more water purifiers and the 7.2m reward I got for top 20% in the CG, I can't say that I'm heartbroken considering it took me about an hour all together. Sorry but if you need more incentive to do something than making 10m credits in an hour, I can only assume you spend all your game time smuggling from Robigo or farming in res sites with a PP bonus because they're about the only other ways you're doing it. *

Always surprises me that more people don't bother with CGs, but then considering some players don't even know how to see the Galnet feed in-game and presumably think the huge button top right of the station menu is just a logo (since it doesn't stand out and look clickable in the interface in any way) perhaps it shouldn't.

*Edit: Trading in a cutter would also do it with a good route.

There's a huge button?

How to tell it Robert....
Don't get me wrong I am not offending nor dishonor your arguemnt. Just putting in something to consider.

It is your task to select a CG you want to participate. They annouced a reward on (at least) 5% for Outfitting.
Now you are free to check the outfitting list in Onnes Gateway if it fits your needs enough to take part or not.
You are also free to use any external tool that legally provides data on Outfitting in Stations.

And finally you got 30% not only 5% Galaxy wide not only contributers (which would make much more sense).
Plus you got the bonus at minimum 900k Cr (they offered at least 100k) for your efforts in the CG.

So in conclusion players should select the CG they participate in wisely as they do when pledging a Power.
So they can work against their goals and needs and are not dissapointed what happened.

Regards,
Miklos

For how long is the discount available? As I'm aiming for the military composite (51. Mio. credits), the 30% make a huge difference.
I don't think we know how long the discount lasts yet, it might be permanent. What ship do you want the military armour for? They weren't stocking it for the Anaconda.

Ok, you are right, the Outfitting List in Onnes is quite a bit of cr***ap.
But what do you expect from it, its located in provincial corener of the universe. Sol is a lot more shiny but 80Ly away.
Its not near any major trading route. So its a midsized world in the middle of nowhere and its not the major
Station in system. The Outfitting list reflects that perfectly.

Not too far away is BD-15 447 (Good Enterprise station) which has a good outfitting selection at 15% discount, and there are other Li-Yong Rui discount systems right around BD-15 447 that can fill in most of what it doesn't offer.

Can anyone confirm that the 30% module discount is over? Esle I'd drop by tonight to get the Military Composite for my Python. :)

Has the 30% discount at LFT 37 been nerfed - i.e., no longer available?

Given it was a CG reward, I'd say yes.

Generally, any shipyard controlled by Li Yong Rui will carry a 15% discount.

If you go to https://eddb.io/station and plug in the ship type (Station sells Ships), Li Yong-Rui (Powers) and the name of the system you're in (Reference System) the page should give you a list of systems known to sell that particular ship in Li space.

In stock modules will also be 15% off, so plan ahead and bring your credit chits!
