Ships Getting a 'conda

Hi Commanders.
I am about 4 million credits off being able to afford this 'conda build.
http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=A060,mpTFEP0FEP0FEP0K4l0K4l0Hdi0Hdi0,CEg0CzY0DBw0DBw0,9p30A8c0AR_0Afk0Au60B8g0BS20Bcg0,,0AA00AA07Uw003w008c050U11rq0072007201LU103w0

Is the 'conda and this build worth it?*
*=If it makes any difference, I will have to sell my Python for it. Edit: Oh, and I think the Python is boring and I hate the Asp Explorer, if that means I won't like the 'conda, please tell me.
Thanks.
CMDR PlungedSphere34.

I'm not using my gaming PC ATM so I don't have access to ship builds but from memory your build lacks DPS and shields compared to my modest armed trader build, the Anaconda isn't Vulture agile but I'm running 4 x gimbals and 3 turrets without real issues (no CZ's though)

Found my current build in an earlier post, capable of mid range BH/combat but primarily an armed trader, TBH without extensive engineering I wouldn't be all that keen to fly this build as stock so do be careful and I'd keep the Python if you can.

Not sure if you have engineered your python, but I thought mine was boring as well until I engineered it with grade 5 FSD and grade 3 dirty drives. Now I feel it is my best ship. I also have a conda that is A rated and engineered the same as the python. The conda is a great ship, but it handles so slowly that I don't like flying it. If you have never flown any of the big ships, I strongly recommend keeping the python and continue to save more credits until you can buy and equip the conda better. Many people love the conda and the way it flies, but you may or may not, therefor I would wait until you can buy one and still keep your python.

I have other ships, so it may not matter if I sell the Python. The Python is unengineered. And is the 'conda more or less agile than a T7?

If I read that correctly, your base ship was 141m. If you head over to a Li Yong-Rui system that sells the Conda, you can get it for a little over 123 ish instead of 141 mil for starters. For example, I bought a D rated Conda with an A rated FSD and flew out of the dealership spending around 140 ish with it fitted out with all weapons, srv and fighter.

If it is missing agility of your Python you will hate your Anaconda because it feels like a brick. ASP Explorer and Python are both useful vessels.

Agree, I loved my Python and AspX. The Python did some damage doing BH and decent on trading while the AspX got me to all the far away places I wanted to see. No gonna lie even loaded it with 4 MC's and 2 Pulse and had fun wrangling its big sliding azz around in RE sites. lol I tried the Conda because of the talk and what it CAN do. It has it purpose. It's growing on me more and more.

Buy it at discount...if you don't like it sell it off and go back to your other ship.

What are you going to do with it most of the time? I see you got 6E shields and E grade thrusters, which practically means you should stay far faaaar away from any real combat. If you want to roll a multipurpose Anaconda, don't rush for it until you have thick enough (like 400-500m thick) wallet, imo. If you just really want it, its best if you go at a cheaper trade or exploring fit and earn the money with that then. I'll take an A grade ship over E and other lower grade fit Anaconda anyday.

Mainly Trade.

How about that? I wouldnt really deploy hardpoints without a big beefy shield, thick bulkheads and proper thrusters fitted in. For a multipurpose I would (and I did) go something like this

https://coriolis.edcd.io/outfit/ana...A=.Aw18ZVA=..EweloBhBmUHYCsICmBDA5gG2SEBGCQoA

Efficient beams, charge enchanted power distributor, long range fsd, reinforced shields and boosters and whatever hull killer weapons you wish on the empty hardpoints. Personally I had two multicannons (one huge one large hardpoint just below the nose) and rails on meds. Two large turrets on top of the deck are really reliable enough to keep shooting forever and take down any pve foe. They are near always on target too. Two smalls dont really matter, but two laz0r turrets are okay when a small ship is below or behind the ship.

Nice builds. I transfered them to edshipyard (I don't really like Coriolis) and they looked good. They're a bit expensive though, I can only just scrape my original build.

If you get interdicted by another Anaconda you'll be mass locked and with stock 7E thrusters it'll be a struggle to get clear, so better thrusters, shields and lower mass (D grade) would help, I've also found shock mines an effective defence (on a T6) and if engineered with an ion disruptor effect can cause the targets engines to reboot.

Try this better shields speed and range and 2 mil cheaper

I'd wait. Take part in a few more community goals with your Python to pull in an extra few tens of millions. Meanwhile, engineer the (presumably A-Class) thrusters you already have on your Python. Those same thrusters can then be swapped in to the Annie when you get it and will outperform the 7E.

For me, I find that the un-engineered Annie is a pain to fly. A bit of thruster work makes it tolerable.
Also, I don't know if you just overlooked it, or didn't spec it, but carrying any cargo racks that are a size smaller than they can be is really going to mess with your trade potential. You need to spec up so that you fill the cargo slots properly (which costs more.)

Don't forget your insurance rebuy and money for the cargo you will need to put in it. A full Annie's cargo can run into a few million credits.

My Python's thrusters are D-rated.
