Getting galaxy map to stay in the same direction

I'm heading away from the core and like plotting short routes but every time I open the galaxy map I'm facing towards the core again which means I have to spin the map around and find the direction I was travelling in. It sounds like a small problem I know, but after doing it over and over again it starts to get annoying! I know the map is getting some love in the next update, does anyone know if this will this be something that's addressed?

No idea. However, whilst I agree with what you are saying the easiest way is to set yourself a waypoint (find a system where you want to travel too) Input that then scroll back to 1,000Ly and plot your route. That way you do not have to rotate the galaxy map.
