50 bucks definately won't even get you the box it'll arrive in. I'd hazard a guess, at least $850

No different than when the price was announced for the Rift.... At pre-ordering time.

Don't expect the price announcement to be prior to that.

... Same for the PlaystationVR, Galaxy S7, Latest GPU or any other devices.

Announcing a price before availability is the exception rather than the norm.
