Getting out of Super cruise?

Hi Folks,

Can anyone help with the correct way to get out of Super cruise which is how I end up after a Frame Jump.

That is after I have selected a destination in the Nav windows and use lock and Hyper jump.

This is what I have :-

Enable Frame Shift Drive - is Not set

Enable FSD to Super Cruise I have set that to \

Enable FSD to Hyperspace Jump is set to J

So from that which way should I set the key to disable Super Cruise please?

At the moment I have to use the \ key to start then quickly stop Super Cruise.

You are already doing it with the \ key (I bound the 'c' key and use that)

theres only two buttons you really need to bind, super cruise and hyperdrive, and you can toggle out of the mode by pressing the same button again, you dont need a different key to go from sc to hyperdrive, just hit the activate hyperdrive key you have set, and the same for dropping out of super cruise, just hit the sc key you have set again and hey presto! :D

Hi Folks,

Thanks very much for the replies.

Sorry but I am still confused as usual.:S

If I have used the Hyperspace Jump from the nav menu when I exit Hyperspace I am in Super Cruise, is that correct?

If that is right then I have not used a key but the nav menu option so pressing the \ key just turns on a boost of some sort, presumably Super cruise.

So effectively I find that I have to use the key twice, to turn it on then off again.

I am sure I am doing something wrong.....

Yes.

When you leave Hyperspace you are automatically in SuperCruise (so it's like the computer pressed \ for you) - so you get to where you want to go by using the throttle to increase speed in that direction. Once you get there, pressing \ will drop you into normal speed. J will always put you into hyperspace (jumping to another system) regardless of whether you're in normal or SuperCruise mode.
