I'm currently working towards the cutter (for trade).

I hate to break this to you but the clipper sucks really bad. The imp eagle and courier are fun, I still own them both. The courier is great for that run I posted because the shields are very strong for how small the ship is.
The clipper's awful hardpoint placement and large pad requirement are huge disadvantages that I just can't get past. The only thing it was ever good for was ramming, but those days are long gone since the scb nerf.

Finally Baron and proud owner of Imperial Clipper. I did hauling missions from completely 0% to Knight. Then I did donation missions from Knight to Baron. Now I am trading for a while to get money for my first exploration trip. She is now completely outfitted for trading. Just need name for her and she is completely done.

Thanks for everyone giving tips for ranking! Have to say that this game has great community!

Enjoy it! After all of that ranking, it is nice to own it. It is surprisingly agile and quite fast so nothing can hurt you unless you want so :). It comes to personal taste, but it is also a very nice looking ship if I may say so.
