Getting rid of the reticule in the display?

So I found something cool and I scrambled looking at keybindings, and figured out how to turn off HUD and float the camera, but I could not figure out how to get the green semi-circle reticule and label off the one planet shown below, regardless of what camera view I used. I thought just "unlocking"/unselecting the object in Nav would do it, but nope.
Any suggestions?

Untargeting should work - just look into empty space and use "select target in front of me" button (sorry, I can't remember what it is in the standard keybinds). You can also use "select next hostile target", unless there are hostiles around, of course.

I have no idea what that keyboard combo does but I'm really hoping this was a Dune reference and it basically turns off all computer assisted navigation
