I like the tradeDangerous inclusion of the number of stations.. Those long strings of "0" clearly show the need for a fuel scoop on runs like this!

It's possible to get there in mostly any ship.

The automatic route function only works over distances of 100ly or less, and rarely picks the optimal route, in my experience, so I rarely use it.

Depends what you mean by "optimal". It can do either the fastest (longest possible jumps for your ship) or the most fuel-economic (shorter jumps) route. And there is a LOT of difference in fuel consumption between those two. In my Type 6 a 200 Ly route takes more than 1.5 tanks of fuel with the fastest route, but about 0.5 tank with the economic! So you can manage well without fear of needing a fuel scoop if you have slightly more patience to do more jumps.

But yeah, it is annoyingly limited with the about 100 Ly longest distance and the need to wait for the spiderweb to form up.

In galaxy map it is under navigation. Unfortunately every time you change between fastest or economic, you have to wait for the spiderweb to form all over again.
