Powerplay Getting to rating 3 for the module unlock

So I've picked a side and am wondering what the best way to simply get to rating 3 and get the module I want. Do I hand in 750 merits after 3 weeks, or is it more complicated?

Make sure you're rank 3 or above when the cycle switch into your 4th week and you'll be able to purchase the module. You don't have to be rank 3 + all 4 weeks.

I am currently at 16th week working for Lavigny-Duval. If i defect for another power, or simply quit powerplay, will i still be able to buy Imperial Hammer?

No, the ability to purchase them will disappear if you defect or leave from the power.

So I can hand in 750 merits in week 4 and buy the module, then move onto the next power and do the same? (Assuming there are any other modules I actually want, lol)

Just make sure you hand in those merits at the end of the 3rd week, wait for the cycle to turn, buy module, leave power (there is no point in defecting, since at the new power you still have to wait 4 weeks, and since that time your defected merits will decay), join new power, rinse, repeat.

Is it one module, or can I get the module for any or all ships and then defect? One I have the said module and as long as I don't sell it, it is mine for life?

Ah, so the 4th week is Rank 3 even though you only retain 375 merits. I just read that the rank is calculated at the start of a new week, I guess that means rank 3 for the whole of week 4. Now I just need to work out what week I'm in, lol :)

Ok, second question then. Since we don't have any kind of personal storage in game. If i'll just buy 4 Imperial Hammers, and fit them into two Vipers. Will i be able later sell them and instantly buy-back on different ship? In short can i use Vipers as storage for unique weapons?

Yea, a lot of PP players use ships as storage. I use my trading Conda to store 3 APA, 2 IH, and 2 CS

Though just be careful and not do it on a day where the transaction server chokes, it will eat your module.

Last question. If i already redeemed all vouchers for merits, will all merits remain if i die? or will i lose all merits?

Once your vouchers become merits, they remain as merits.

The only way for you to lose merits after gaining them is weekly decay and acts of betrayal (Shoot your own faction or vessels that belong to the same major faction as your faction does. Ex. Patreus on Duval is not okay since they are both Empire at large.)
