Gharial Breeding madness!

I bought a few Gharials when expanding my zoo, as I think they look really cool and unlike the Saltwater Croc, you can have more than two. But I thought I would start with just a few since their habitat is not that big. So I got myself one male and two femals.

What I didn't realise (should have read the zoopedia) is that these s breed like rabbits!!
I went from three to 19(!) in what felt like just a few ingame years (and I have the +5 aging thing on).
So note to self (and others that haven't bought these yet), make sure to have a really big habitat when buying these (The Zoopedia says they need about 550m2, and I made this habitat just over 1100m2, so I thought it would be plenty of space)

Thanks for the warning, I'm intending to include them in my new zoo and will be generous with the habitat.

Reminds me of my very first zoo, the very first habitat was a pair of Aldabra Giant Tortoises. Small but comfortable for the two of them. Then the female gave birth to 5 or 6 little ones! I was desperately stretching the barrier out as much as I could in order to add enough hard shelter. And those critters take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to reach maturity (30 years) before they can be released to the wild.
