Gharials Traversable Area bugged.

I'd built a habitat for my gharials and everything was looking fine, enough habitat space etc. Then only my female gharial could traverse the whole enclosure, while the male has 0 on it's Traversable space.
I deleted rocks, trees, enrichment items, the lot. It kept saying he had no space while the female was just happy as could be. I had to just get rid of the male. This happened in the beta too where the male was "stuck" but the female was just fine.

Why is the hit box for it so big (not just bigger compared to the tiny female, but like huge)

My male Gharials have no problem. I don't think its a bug with their bounding box in general sounds more like something specific to your situation.

I'll take a screenshot tonight, maybe I'm doing something obvious. But it's a little frustrating where I see no obstructions yet it is saying so.

I had an issue in one of my enclosures where I would have one of my smaller Gharials get stuck on some oddly shaped terrain that I made. Could that be happening to you? I had to move the entire enclosure.
Have you tried to adopt a different male and see if he has the same problem?

Here's the screenshots, as you can see there's nothing obviously obstructing him

Nature items - bushes, trees, etc all have a bounding volume that block the animals and you have a ton of them. That's probably why.

There is. A lot. You left no space for moving around at all.
Another aspect: you will have a lot of complaints from your guests not seeing the animal because foliage not only blocks the moving but the viewing also.

The other, more general question would be: does the "save space" really be so big?

Okay, I guess there are coding reasons for that and the team had good rationales for their decision.
But the circle around this tree is huge and in my zoos, I oftentimes whished for a bit more generous pathing constraints, too.

I was actually looking for this very topic in the forum to see whether or not if it's only me experiencing issues with gharial space requirements/traversable areas.

I am experiencing a slightly different version of the problem. Juvenile gharials have a larger traversable area in the heat map since they have a smaller hitbox, yet this doesn't reflect in the habitat space requirements section.

Traversable area in numbers (esp water) for the offspring is smaller than the adults, the exact opposite of the heatmap. Which results in the same number of juveniles in the same exhibit being overcrowded when the adults are not. And when they mature, the traversable area requirement/fulfillment is replaced with a never ending "recalculating" message that doesn't go away even if you box/unbox move between exhibits etc. There's def something going on there. Haven't experienced this during the beta, so it's new.

Gharials have been the only species that I noticed to have this problem, yet. Idk if others have the same issue. Need to play/test more to tell.
