Going to post a link to a short bit of video. It isn't the best in the world as I was shooting it with my cell phone as i was also trying to control two SRV's.

I have two accounts and I had just finished making my 3rd kill with Mac as Gunner and D.D at the helm when I noticed a Data Point off to the side.
Disbanded and got Mac in his SRV headed in the direction of the Data Point while I had DD land and look for salvage materials from the kill in her SRV. Didn't find anything, BUT, as Mac came within about 3.5 KM DD was able to lock on and see Mac.
Mac did see DD's AspX as he drove by it on the way to the Data point, but NEVER did see DD's SRV even though he banged into it a couple times trying to get close enough to scan the data point..
Both were able to scan the data point and as best I can tell they got different intel packages.
