Giant ring planet

I thought I'd post this here since it's interesting (at least to me) its a Class 1 gas giant with 4 moons, pretty normal right?

Well yes and no. a C1 gas giant isn't amazing but a C1 gas giant with an 8LS wide ring with 3/4 of its moons within the gap of its rings. now that's something I haven't seen before.

It's such a pity we can't map these monster Rings due to "Out of Range" :p

FDev should totally fix that, so we can check for Hotspots....

You will be surprised, but I mapped that ring! :)
Yes. That was out of range, but I fired the probe blindly and after some time probe have hit the ring!
edit
I mean I fired the probe while I was near the inner ring, in range of the planet.

You were lucky, many of the huge outer rings are typically unreachable, especially when there's Shepherd Moons inside or inbetween.
I think the Probes have a Range of max. ~60Mm , 1Mm/sec speed with ~1 Minute lifetime.

Would be cool if we could fire at anytime, regardless of distance to nearby bodies.

The largest ring I've seen (I mean with bare eyes, for those large rings have tendency to be too sparse to be visible in ED) is in Wepae AA-A h22 and has radius of 43,6 MKm.

There are rings with greater radius which are definitly invisible.

And there is one in Dryoea Flyoo AA-A h553 whth 44 MKm radius, which is, let's say, on the margin :)
