Gimballed weapons?

Hi Guys

I'm in the BUricasses system and am having trouble trying to find gimballed weapons for sale (above E/F). I've searched the surrounding ones with no luck. Any helps or tips would be really appreciated please :)

I'm in a cobra mk3 btw and have flipped between class 1 multicannons and class 2 beams (both gimballed) and vice versa

Grade C/D weapons should be available in large wealthy industrial or HT systems. You'll have to do a filtered lookup in the galactic map. A class 2 grade D beam will cost upward of 2 Mcr I think.

I ended up with Class 1 Burst/Pulse Lasers and chunky Class 2 Multicannons in my Cobra, all Gimballed. I killed an Eagle last night without even realizing it.

Remember though there won't be differently rated gimballed weapons of the same type. Instead the base Multicannon might be F, the Gimballed version would be E and the turreted might be C. So if you have a Gimballed Multicannon there won't be a higher rated Gimballed Multicannon just a higher class one.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about weapon grades. Weapons are graded as a whole within a size class, not per type. This is why all size 1 gimbaled MCs are the same Letter Class. so for a given weapon system of a given size all fixed mounted MCs will be the same class, al Gimbal mounted MCs will be the same class and al Turret mounted MCs will be the same class. MCF - E1, MCG - D1, MCT - C1 for example.

Thanks, I think this is where I was confused. So there really only is one grade multicannon, but you get different classes?

I might have to consider fixed beam weapons as they aren't terribly powerful :\

That is almost the same loadout I have. Except I have class 1 Beam Lasers. The Cobra is a great ship.

For a long time I ran 4 gimbaled ACs on my Cobra. The only reason I use Lasers as Part of my load out is they don't run out of ammo.
