Gimbled versions of all the huge weapons will be coming with 2.1 afterall! (Except for bursts)

Some of you may have been keeping up with the communication debacle over the Wryd CG, and how us failing to meet the higher tiers, meant that some of the gimbled versions of 2.1's huge weapons were going to be withheld from the launch of 2.1. (According to some Fdev, us failing the tiers of that CG, meant that we weren't getting certain huge gimbled weapons on launch as a result, which had the community in an uproar, since this was poorly communicated, and some Fdev people even made remarks that came off as arogant in response. I was one of the people with rustled jimmies, lol)

Michael Brooks just cleared things up, and has said that indeed, we will be getting all the gimbled versions come 2.1's launch! Except for bursts though, they're still working on those.

Thanks for the update Nef I did see some of the threads but I was too busy with horizons news.
I did feel a bit for sandy though, he had just announced 1.6 2.1 and xbox horizons dates and the forums were trying to kill him over huge burst lasers.

Whats happened to the big thread where loads of people had full-on tantrums?

I've never in my life seen so many "grown" people do the equivalent of a toddler being dragged out of a toy shop screaming "I want my toy!"

Im confused, i thought we were getting the weapons with 1.6, which will be released at the same time PC players get 2.1. Thats next thursday. Did they push them back to june?

The problem wasn't a sense of entitlement, or "wanting" their toys, it was the fact that they were never told that they weren't recieving their toys that they were given in beta, shown in multiple newsletters, etc, because a CG with a vague description that no one was told about failed. That was where the rustled jimmies came from. People didn't have a problem working for the weapons, or them being behind a CG, it was the fact that no one was told that one of the four CGs in the live game failing while everyone was playing beta meant that the very weapons they were testing weren't going to be in 2.1 as a result.
