Im gonna have to say it..
I am pretty damned lucky.. I have a wife who is a total Scifi .. We can argue startrek and often discuss our dream bridge team over dinner... We then binge watch every conceivable scifi tv series/movies almost every night. Plus shes half italian half croation and is a fantastic cook... so I blame her for making me fat!
However she isnt a gamer, but respects my passion for gaming. We have our set times that we spend together, but we also set aside a large chunk of time where she does her thing, and I do mine. She makes fun of my gaming, and rolls her eyes and giggles when I am making videos, or yells out offensive remarks as I am voice recording, which then I have to go back and re-record... But she is also so awesome that she even brings me in sandwiches at random intervals along with a fresh cup of my favorite beverage WITH FRESH ICE from time to time.
Do we have the perfect marriage? Not by a long shot, we argue, who dosent.. but, even though this is a bit late, I want to give props to my missus on valentines day for being awesome enough to put up with me for the past 23 years... ONYA BABE!

I talked my BF into buying Elite so we can spend time together without being "together".
We never had any other hobbies in common so this is great.

That is awesome. I couldn't get my wife into SciFi, but I have gotten her into a few shows like BSG and, more recently, The Expanse. Also, TNG was part of our daily routine when we were in the dorms together. She also really likes when I give my Physics for Poets ad lib lectures. A recent one was on the reality and fantasy of space travel as depicted in The Expanse. It isn't everyday you get to lecture on rocket science to a receptive audience.
She teaches me about literature and grammar, because getting me to read a new book (been reading the same few books for decades) is a challenging task for even the most enthusiastic English teacher. I tell her I read Galnet. Should be enough, right?
We've been together for 14 years ever since we were two drunk 18 year-olds who had just polished off a handle of Southern Comfort after everyone else had passed out.
