Give cargo to a mate ..how

Just choose jettison(abandon) and your mate can pick it up without it being stolen
1. Open Cargo Bay ( think)
2. Goto cargo list in right panel, eject.
3. Have your friend scoop into their hold.
That is how i have seen others do it, but not sure if they now have "stolen" your goods?

Choose abandon it will not be stolen
First, you need to find your mate. Make sure that both of you have added each other to your friends lists. The game should try and match you into the same 'instance' when you are near each other. If not (can happen because the location is very busy with other players or just because of lag or even a bug), try creating a private group before starting the game and both of you logging into that.

Once you can see each other. Go some distance away from a station. Dropping cargo near a station will earn you a fine.
On your right hand panel, navigate to the Cargo tab.
Select the cargo you want to drop and press enter.
In the dialog box that pops up, select ''Jettison Cargo (Abandon)'
Your mate can now pick the cargo up by deploying cargo scoops and scooping it.

Note1 : You must select the Abandon option, the other option will mean your friend will be flagged as a criminal if scanned as the cargo is marked as stolen
Note2 : I have done this many times with a friend of mine. It works

I do this to help my friends, but not outside a station (unless over 10k) as there is a fine for littering
