Give me back 125,709Cr of fine

I accepted a deliver but I wasn't able to land at the platform because I own a Type-7 ( I had to found by myself )
No way to transfer the cargo to another proper ship, Ergo the mission is system bugged.

got the biggest fine I ever had :(

OP - Im not sure that's a bug. Just a failable mission. If you'd looked up th star port on the Galaxy Map you would've seen that it's an outpost. Don't get me wrong - it's not pleasant - but I'm not sure it's a bug.

Probably you are right, but at least I would see the option to transfer my cargo to the another docked ship.
But ok, I failed the mission and sold the cargo to black market :p

its not a bug , just very annoying you get can a mission you have to check before you accept it.
also not having the ability to transfer the cargo to a lighter ship is a painful one.
guess FD still has allot of ironing to do.
but as we all know this is not the final release we just have to be patient with thing like these.
how much did you have to deliver and was it even possible with a smaller ship?

Oh so it's his fault the mission sent him to somewhere he can't land. I see.

I guess what we should be doing is spending a few minutes research looking at every destination station for each mission we want to go to, and making sure we can go there.

Or maybe the mission could list something like (can't land at destination). Once you have cartography data for the system why can't you also show the distance from the main star in ls?
I don't know, that would mean I'd be spending less time picking missions and more time doing them...

Correct. One should also check the goods one's carrying won't get oneself shot out of the sky at the receiving end as well.

It sucks because the mission board does not scale with the ship you are currently flying. So it is a design issue that hasn't yet been implemented.

You used the wrong ship for the job. no one's fault but your own. do your research before you take on missions. hope you learned a valuable lesson.

I wonder what the view is like for you when you get off of your high horse. If only we were all as skilled and wise as yourself...

Indeed.

This is a design flaw in the mission system. It should alert you to the max size ship of required for the mission. Many players are simply unaware there is even a requirement for pad sizes. The player is not at fault here, he was not informed there could be an issue. As such his actions were understandable and his response and complaint valid.

How hard would it be to add the icon of the sending and receiving stations alongside the mission info. The same icons as in the system view. Clear as day then what kind of a station you are dealing with.

Caveat Venditor!

If you know your ship is too big to land at an outpost, I'd think it very prudent for your business model to make very certain that any transport contract you enter doesn't actually stipulate you delivering anything to said station type. Or that the cargo is illegal at its' destination (hell, at its' place of origin for that matter). I'd also be wary of transporting anything in such a ship to anarchy pirate havens or disputed systems.

Myself - not really aiming for anything bigger than a Python. Not being able to land at outposts will put a big dent in both legal _and_ illegal trading. It is not as if those huge lumbering ships can be raced through the slot before getting scanned?!

What a load of tosh! The guy has a type 7, so he's been playing long enough, how many times has he visited an outpost? don't tell me he didn't know that you can't land a type 7 on those tiny landing platforms. "I want a my credits back the system is bugged" boo hoo

and you say design flaw in the mission. Why should it alert you to this? this is Elite Dangerous not Elite do you want me to hold your hand when you go to the toilet.

So - you agreed to carry cargo to a place you couldn't deliver it, got fined for failure - and it's a bug... how, exactly?

The Contract Agent merely looks at if you have enough cargo CAPACITY to do the mission. Whether or not you can fly, land, arrive without being shot out of the sky, or remember to fuel up before departure is left up to you.

I don't think the game should check such things for you.
If i would take a transport from a customer in real world he probably wouldn't check for all things of mine that could be wrong, he would be thinking it is my part to handle all that stuff.

But not to be able to rearange your cargo to another ship or temporary store it as you buy a new one is indeed a valid point for critique.
