Give Stephen Hawking an Elite Oculus Rift session!

It might be hard (perhaps impossible) to make it playable for him, but I'm damn sure he would be delighted to watch someone crossing a REAL SIZE Galaxy. Perhaps a nice personal presentation made by the dev team, with some nice Oculus Rift setup? Wouldn't that be a nice thing to do? The man loves this stuff, and he certainly deserves our attention.

I would do that by myself If I had access to him, but I'm afraid he is out of my social reach.

He certainly loves this kind of thing: https://www.facebook.com/stephenhawking/posts/783815155038917

Please consider this.

* Idea here is that someone would "guide" him, giving him a tour on some of the most astonishing views of the galaxy.

Wouldn't he love to watch some jumps and witness Sagitarius A*?

Dunno, it'd have to be perfect- It's like bringing to a professional pilot an Xbox with Forza whatever-number-they-have-reached.
Fun but not entirely there.

I guess the 3D effect of deep space would be much more interesting...

Awesome idea, and excellent PR if FD picks up on this.

I'm sure he has better software for doing the exact same thing. We have the game...........he's got the simulator.

Too bad Carl Sagan can't participate. Of course Dr. Tyson has his own ship already.

the guy is loaded..... Something tells me if he is interested he will have tried one, one way or another ;)

(PS he lives in the same neck of the woods as FD so what makes you think he hasnt already?)

Out exploring in my ASP. The last few days I have had almost nothing but new discoveries I am looking forward to cashing in when I get back. Getting my name on all those systems will feel good. One of the few names already on planets however; was one "Stephen Hawking".. I found this thread while searching to see if I could substantiate whether he had a profile under his own name or not.. I have no idea if its really him. Just looking to see if I could find out if it was.

When multicrew arrives, he could sit in the passenger seat while the driver flies around. No need for controls then.

Now I want to buy a second account for when I get VR, so that I can do this for friends. The only problem is that I think multicrew will be part of the Horizons season, so no £9.99 sale price.

The multicrew idea would also be nice to coordinate with, or suggest to, Special Effect. They are a charity that Frontier support (see here).
