Give us some alternative story options with regards to the Thargoids. (Other than war!)

It may be hard to believe, but some of us still note that we get hyperdicted by Thargoid interceptors, but they generally are not hostile. Yes, the attacks on stations have been happening, but so too have human incursions into Thargoid space. (The Alliance, in particular, just can't leave those Barnacles alone!)

I'm not asking for the pew-pew to go away. But can't you have someone write some events that would actually let the people who'd like a chance to try communicating and/or negotiating to have SOMETHING to do? You do actually have players who want to do more than just blow stuff up.

What was the first thing that humans did when we encountered Thargoids, yes we shot at them, this is the story as driven by the players. While there may be players who want to do other stuff, do the Thargoids care what some humans want when a lot of them get shot at? Should they?

That was a given. False narrative by FDEV, there was never an option for peaceful interaction, as people like to pew.

And this 100%. It's an online game where a good portion of players like to shoot things. There was never ANY chance that SOMEONE wasn't going to shoot at them.
That's true. It doesn't make it "false narrative" though (whatever that is in a game). Choice existed; the selected choice was predictable. That's all.

The choice maybe technically existed in theory, but actually there was no choice.
If there's possibility to pew, there is pew without a doubt, no other alternative possible.

also do not forget, about what limited options did we have to interact back then?
We could not even scan stuff on command...

Just look at what we got the with the new Guardian ruins with the blueprints, how did we interact with those "puzzles"? by shooting at them!

So if the only tool you get to use is a hammer, then of course you will have to treat everything as a nail when you use it.

Sure he is your alternative story.
They want to kill you, instead of fighting you can just die.

But do they always want to kill you? Then why did they let us go unharmed after we got interdicted in Hyper Space?
That is Thargoid initiated contact....

If you enter a "Thargoid signal source", then you have actively picked to invade the "space"...

You cannot chase down Thargoids in Hyper Space.
You can visit and harvest meta alloys, and you can avoid the Thargoid machinery, and thus avoid confrontation, when you steal the meta alloys from their "farms"...

Yes we need that. Aslo we need ability to help them. Read their story and point of wiev. Get from them ships an weapons and than bring hell upon those who “like to pew”. Burn down humanity’s xenophobia and ignorace.
